Zamfara Killings: Group Calls For Census Of Affected Communities

The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG), has called for census of all the communities affected by the nefarious activities of armed bandits and cattle rustlers in the state.
Speaking at a press conference in Gusau, the Coordinator of the Coalition, in the state,  Bilyaminu Badarawa said the census will help in ascertaining the number of casualties with a view of assisting the victims.
Badarawa described killing of innocent people in the state as unfortunate and worrisome.
He lamented that large number of victims of such attacks particularly the women and children who have now become vulnerable.
“It is very disturbing, despite huge amount of money being spent by the state government daily to address security challenges in the state our communities are still being attack by the bandits,” he said.
Badarawa called on the state and Federal government  and  International organisation to assist the victims.
It will be recalled that gunmen in their latest attack in Birane village,  Zurmi local government area killed over 33 people and injured many.
