Yet To Be Identified Assailants Murder Tailor After Political Meeting

A 32 years old, Shehu  Auwal popularly known as Doko has been murdered by unknown persons at the early hours of Tuesday.

 

It was said that late Shehu left home on Monday night were he attended a political meeting alongside with his fellow politicians at Tudun Wada, Zaria on the fateful day.

 

        

Speaking to journalists on the matter, one of the close relatives of the deceased, Mohammed Sani  Dahiru Gidan Doko, Unguwar  Babban Gwani, Zaria City, said it was late Shehu’s wife that raised alarm that her husband had not returned home since he left Monday night for a meeting.

 

        

He said, they quickly called his friend that they went out together, making enquiries of the where about of Shehu Auwal.

 

The friend said he left them immediately after the meeting and informed him of the missing Shehu.

 

        

According to him, they all gathered as he said, “let’s go and check him since he said he received a phone call during the meeting  at Jos road, Kofar  Doka”.

 

As they arrived, they saw his motorcycle parked in front of the campaign office of an aspirant of House  of Representativespecially under the APC, Zaria Federal Constituency, Hon. Sani Akilu Idris (Jakadan Zazzau).

 

        

Late Shehu Auwal was said to be a professional tailor that deals with may prominent personalities and  he was buried at about 2:30pm on Tuesday according to  Islamic rites.

 

        

Shehu’s death came exactly 25 years after the murder of Mahmud Sa’adu (Kawu) who is a member of the family of the then SDP secretary, Zaria Local Government Area by unknown hired killers.

 

        

Commenting on the incident, the Jakadan Zazzau, Alh. Muhammad  Sani Akilu Idris,  whom Shehu’s dead body was found within  the premises of his campaign office along New Jos Road Kofar Doka, Zaria, expressed shock and sympathy on the ugly happening which led to the murder of an Innocent person.

 

        

He said, as a Muslim, he doesn’t have any blame or an accusation against anybody in respect of the murder of Shehu Doko who happened to be his tailor for more than 15 years.

 

        

The Jakadan Zazzau appealed to people to pray to Allah for those that committed this murder to be exposed for the law to work on them.

 

        

At the time of filling this report, police have invited all those in the meeting for investigation with the view of finding or tracing the suspected murderers.
