Yari Commends Correspondents Chapel For Fair, Objective Reportage In Zamfara

Zamfara State Governor,, Alhaji Abdul’Aziz Yari Abubakar has commended the members of the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Zamfara State Council for their fair and objective reportage of events in the state.

Yari made the commendation  while interacting with members of the Correspondents Chapel in his private residence in Talata Mafara town, headquarters of Talata Mafara Local Government Council.

The governor who won  last Saturday’s Senatorial election for the Zamfara West Senatorial zone, said the members of the working journalists in the state deserves commendations for disseminating information that are based on facts and not biased in their reportage of events in the state.

Yari further applaud the Correspondents Chapel for contributing positively through their reports particularly during just concluded Presidential/ National Assembly elections in the state.

The governor also commended the people of the state for successful and peaceful conduct of the just concluded elections despite insecurity that is bedeviling the state.

Yari assures of more developmental projects and programmes will if the APC is elected in the forthcoming Governorship/State Assembly elections in Zamfara state.

“This is just the beginning of more good things to come with the victory of the APC in the Presidential/National Assembly elections”, he said.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel, Alhaji Umar Muhammad Maradun said the Chapel is poised to ensure fair reportage of events in the state.

“Our job is to give the people of the state voice irrespective of their political or religious inclinations. We are to work for the people of the state to bring development, peace and harmony in the state”, he said.
