The National Vice Chairman, South South of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC), Ntufam Hillard Ettah, has cleared the air on the reason why primaries could not be conducted in Cross River state as scheduled on Sunday 30th September, 2018.
He made the clearance while addressing newsmen in Calabar on rumours that some persons have hijacked the materials for the conduct of the state primaries.
It would be recalled that some aggrieved persons had addressed the media allegeding that the materials have been hijacked.
He debunked the rumours saying that “due to the late arrival of materials and committee members in the state”.
According to him, the materials will be distributed in the 196 wards in the state and that the materials are intact.
The committee, he said arrived late and had to pay a visit to the DSS and the INEC officials.
As a leader, he said ” it is an unthankful job. I take it as the allegations and blackmail come”.
He assured members of the party of equal opportunity adding that the materials will be distributed from Obanliku to Bakassi.
