The members of Vigilante group of Nigeria (VGN) in Kano State has opined that Alhaji Ali Sokoto is the real and authentic commander-general of the group as according to the organisation’s genuine constitution.
They made this known in an interview with our correspondent in Kano, adding that since the establishment of the organisation, Dr. Ali Sokoto and a number of patriotic citizens made a final decision in establishing a strong and acceptable voluntary security association that would assist in securing lives and property in every society which is now called VGN.
Malam Abubakar Datti, a VGN member from Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State said that “We recognise Ali Sokoto as our Commander-General of Vigilante Group of Nigeria and we know what he has offered to the organisation therefore we are under his command,” he emphasized.
Similarly, Yahaya Dogo lamented that VGN is a voluntary security oeganisation, and it is an important formation therefore there is the need for the federal government and all other stakeholders in security organisations to give more recognition to the group under Alhaji Ali Sokoto who is also recognised as the authentic commander-general in the service to humanity.
In conclusion, both members called on the federal, states and the 774 local government councils to give more support to the organisation in order to continue assisting the security agencies in protecting lives and properries of the Nigerian citizens in every nook and corner of the country, and commended the brave gallants for their contributions towards security enforcement with patriotsm.
