We Are Committed To Improving Water Supply In Kaduna State, Bantex Assures

Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Architect Barnabas Bala Bantex Hosts African Development Bank's Country Director at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House.


The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Architect Barnabas Bala Bantex on Tuesday said they are committed to using of solar and other equipment to support  water pump projects in the state.

Architect Barnabas Bala Bantex disclosed this when he received a team from the African Development Bank Group Nigeria Country Department who came on a courtesy visit to Government House in Kaduna.

The Deputy Governor said, the state government is working earnestly to improve on water projects in the state as residents are happy to know how far the project goes.

He was impressed on their mission to partner with the state and the level of their commitment towards water projects in particular  and called on them to sustained it.

Bantex said the state government was making sure that water gets to consumers who are ready to pay their monthly bills as they were working  towards ensuring that  the state government  generates revenue into the state.

According to him, the state government has involved solar and other items in empowering the system protect so that they can cut off the difficulties that is currently in power generation, adding that  this would enable them to derive constant supply  of water to consumers through various solar powered punps.

He commended them for partnership with the state and prayed their commitment  will be sustained.

In a remark, the leader of the delegation, Mrs Wambai Kituri said they were in  Kaduna State to share some  ideas and then partner with the state.

According to her, Kaduna State transition  from Water Board to Water Corporation is one of the major successes.

She said the Zaria dam project is 90% completed.
