The Senator representing Kaduna Central has described late Bishop Danlami Joseph Bagobiri as the spiritual conscience of the society.
Shehu Sani who stated while fielding question from journalists at the late Catholic priest’s wake-keeping in Kafanchan on Wednesday 14th March, 2018 said,” Bishop Bagobiri was a spiritual leader that always speaks for the oppressed and the downtrodden adding that he always said it as it was.
“The Catholic priest was an outstanding religious leader with a mission and with conscience, one that has consistently spoken for the defense of his people. He stood for justice and spoke for justice,” he added.
He maintained that,”Bagobiri will be remembered for his principles and one who never shied away from speaking the truth to powers that be, stressing, that his loss is a tragedy to the people of Southern Kaduna, Kaduna State and Nigeria as a whole.
Shehu Sani noted that,” this is the time we need Bishop Bagobiri more than any other time we’ll never ever forget Bishop Bagobiri.”
