The 50-man Examination Ethics Committee of the Kaduna State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, is winning the war against examination malpractices in Kaduna, the ministry’s Director of Schools, Malam Dahuru Anchau has said.
Anchau told newsmen Thursday in the state, shortly after going round some schools in Kaduna metropolis to monitor ongoing WAEC examination that the committee’s effort was already yielding result.
According to Anchau, the committee has so far visited 20 schools and served as invigilators in both public and private schools suspected to be operating as miracle or deliverance centres.
“The effort is already yielding result, because the presence of the committee members in all suspected centres in the metropolis has prevented the schools from indulging in any form of malpractice.
“So far, no school was found wanting and the examination is going on smoothly without any hitch, because our people are there and were supported by security personnel.
“We will continue to ensure compliance to examination procedure, rules and regulations in all schools in the state, particularly during core subjects where cheating are prominent, namely English language, mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology, “he said.
The Director said that the effort was to ensure that examinations are written according to laid down rules and regulation as part of measures to rid Kaduna State of all forms of examination malpractices.
