Two suspects in prison custody over alledge murder of Ibadan Wine Dealer

Two suspects Noah Kehe and Abodunrin Kazeem (aka Ijoba Sango) were on Tuesday arraigned before an Oyo State Magistrate Court sitting in Ibadan for allegedly killing a popular Ibadan wine dealer, Mrs Olufunke Ashaolu.
The two suspects were arraigned on two count-charge bordering on murder and conspiracy.
According to the Investigating Police Officer (IPO), Fatola Musiliu, the suspects caused the death of a 51-year-old woman by shooting her with gun, punishable under section 319 of the Criminal Code Cap 38 Vol II Laws of Oyo State 2000 of Nigeria.
The IPO said the suspects committed the offence on September 29, 2016 at Elewure area of Sango in Ibadan when they visited the victim in her shop on a bicycle around 9.45pm and shot her dead, adding that before killing her, the accused persons allegedly sent a text message to her, demanding for a payment of N20,000 which she refused to grant.
He stressed that after committing the crime, the suspects went into hiding but were fished out by a special squad of the state police command that investigated the killing.
The two suspects pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Magistrate, Mrs M.O Akanni, ordered that the suspects be remanded in Agodi prison until their next appearance in court and adjourned the case till December 16, 2016.
