Suspected Boko Haram Bomb Maker Arrested In Ibadan, Faces Police Interrogation

The suspected Boko Haram member arrested in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital on Sunday January 1, this year is now being interrogated by men of the Oyo State Police Command.
New Nigerian gathered that the arrested Boko Haram member said to be one of the chief bomb makers of the terrorist group and identified himself as Alkali reportedly confessed that he escaped from Sambisa forest to Ibadan.
The Boko Haram member was said to have ran out of luck in the night of Sunday January 1st this year when he was arrested by the police at Alalubosa GRA area of Ibadan.
Alkali was said to have arrived Mobil Ring Road in Ibadan after escaping  from Sambisa Forest in Borno State where he was received by some Hausa traders that later alerted their leaders of Alkali’s  arrival into their midst.
He was later subjected to series of questions by the Hausa leaders but reportedly sneaked out of the area on sensing the looming danger for him and escaped to Alalubosa GRA where he was finally arrested.
It was learnt that residents in the area on sighting Alkali roaming the area were worried with his appearance and way of dressing and quickly alerted the police which led to his arrest.
Alkali was said to have allegedly confessed to be one of the chief bomb makers of the Boko Haram group and that
some members of the group have escaped to Lagos.
Oyo state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Adekunle Ajisebutu confirmed that Alkali “is still under interrogation at the state CID”saying,”Yes, it is true. He was arrested”.
“The matter is still under investigation at the state CID. Thank you”.
