Supporters Club Mourns Ex NFA Spokesman, Mgbolu

The Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC), has joined millions of Nigeria’s football stakeholders to expresse  their shock over the death of former spokesperson of Nigeria Football Association (NFA), Austin Mgbolu.
This was expressed on behalf of the club by  the President General, Dr.Rafiu Oladipo in his Surulere office in Lagos.
Mgbolu died on Wednesday, February, 7 after a brief illness. Family sources said he had a major surgery in January and seemed to be recuperating but suffered complications which resulted in his death.
Known as ‘Booster’ by his friends and colleagues, he served under five past presidents of the nation’s football house namely; Emeka Omeruah (1993- 1997), Abdulmumini Aminu (1997- ,1999), Kojo Williams (1999), Dominic Oneya (1999-2002) and Ibrahim Galadima (2002- 2006) and was until his death  a senior staff of Niger Delta Ministry, Abuja.
OLadipo further expressed sadness that Mgbolu died at a time his services and wise counsel is needed by sports administrators and journalists.
‘I’m highly saddened by the death of Mgbolu whom I know right from his days as a journalist with defunct Sports Link Newspaper and during his days at the NFA Secretariat.
“He was a seasoned professional and analyst who did his job thoroughly and will be highly missed by not only his family but the sporting community. He was a perfect gentleman and his death came at a time his services SBD wise counsel is highly needed” Ladipo said.
OLadipo while praying God to give the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss, prayed that his soul will rest in perfect peace.
