President Mohammad Buhari of Nigeria on Friday called on the people of Kaduna State to support the Federal Government in tackling the insecurity of the nation.
President Mohammad Buhari expressed this at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium during the campaign flag off and Kaduna Arts and Music Festival held in Kaduna.
Adding that the Federal Government is making efforts on the part of insecurity challenges, the kidnappings and armed robbery in the country assuring that it will be things of the past.
The President reminded the state of the measures taken by his government and expressed optimism on the tackling of the issues of Boko Haram and insecurity in the country.
He noted that the farmers have access to fertilizers, this has added value to their farms and the money laundering oversea has been tackled by his government.
He said Nigeria is a place of peace and they have worked for peace in the country adding that adequate security measures will be taken to maintain peace in the country.
Earlier in his remarks, Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai who was accompanied by all the other state governor’s present in the state were jubilating towards APC success in three and half years on the throne.
The Governor said he was honoured to be invited to welcome everyone and thanked Mr President for being there as people of Kaduna love him as what he has seen from the Airforce Base to Ahmadu Bello Stadium is pure love that the people have for him.
He reminded the President that Kaduna, Kano and Katsina states in 2015 voted in 70 per cent of their votes while he assured that, they have confidence based on his achievements in Kaduna and Nigeria that the state will give 80 per cent of their votes come February and March general elections.
He added that the people of Kaduna and people of the country have seen and heard of his positive change to the country.
He disclosed that, on February 16, which will be his birthday, urging the people of the state to vote in President Mohammad Buhari, describing him as an exemplary leader who has a vision and makes Kaduna to be his own town.
He called on the women to vote in his running mate, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, and put aside sentiments, work in oneness to promote the state.
The Governor assured the state of security of lives and property adding that the state government has taken adequate measures to tackle the issues of insecurity in the state
On his part, the National Chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshishomole, expressed his gratitude to Kaduna State.
Describing the state as his home, he said that he was excited to be in Kaduna, and Kaduna is 100% “Sai Baba ” Sai Maigaskiya”.
According to him, Nigeria is a nation that loves people of integrity and President Mohammad Buhari has the answer to political power, urging his people from Tudun Wada, Kakuri, Tudun Nupawa among others to re-elect and vote in APC.
The Running Mate, of Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai, Dr Hadiza Balarabe assured the President that Kaduna State was for APC.
She called on the women to come out and vote in APC describing her being chosen to be the running mate of el-Rufai as not by mistake but a blessing to the state.
Speaking further, Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode who spoke on behalf of the Governor’s, urged the people of Kaduna State to vote in APC from bottom to top calling on all to come out enmass not to sell out their votes
The Director General of All Progressive Congress (APC) Kaduna State campaign, Ben Kure described the state Governor as the lion of Africa, a man of integrity, while assuring the state that come May 29, they will be sworn-in into their various office’s.
The Minister of Transport, Chief Rotimi Ameachi who is the Director General Presidential Campaign of the APC, said they believe that the past government who served for 16 years failed.
According to him, APC has serve the country for three and half years and they have succeeded, calling on the people to vote in APC in all positions.
The National Chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, presented the APC flags to the incumbent Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai and the Senators, assuring them from top to bottom.
Thousands of young and old came out to receive President Buhari from all over the major streets of Kaduna.
They were chanting “sai Baba Buhari, sai Malam, 4+4,” Kaduna people were jubilating on the arrival of President Muhammad Buhari for continuity come general elections in February and March 2019.
Ahmadu Bello Stadium was filled to the brim and the surroundings were flooded with party faithful and supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Supporters while arriving the venue, signalling the endorsement of Baba Buhari and Governor Nasir el-Rufai’s re-election to continue to build on their first term successes.
Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai received important personalities at the 2nd Edition of the Kaduna State Music Festival (KADAMFEST) and the Presidential Rally.
Some members of the Presidential Campaign Council were in attendance.
Among the delegation was, President Buhari, Hajiya Hadiza Bala Usman, Governor’s of Lagos, Zamfara, Kebbi among others, some Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries, some Local Government Executive Chairmen, Party Exco and some stakeholders were present.
