The Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, on Friday sympathized with the government and people of Kaduna State over the reported case of earth tremor in Kwoi, the headquarters of Jaba local government area.
The Speaker who was at the palace of the Paramount ruler of the Jaba people, also appealed to revelant authorities to quickly unearth the cause of the incidence in order to allay the fears experienced by residents of the communities.
Represented by the Member representing Zango Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency, Barr Sunday Marshall Katung, Speaker Dogara said the lower chamber was ready to support the government with necessary legal backing to avert future occurrence.
The Speaker also commended the Kaduna State Government for taking urgent steps to unravel the cause of the incidence as well as conscientising the populace.
Responding, the Paramount ruler, Dr. Danladi Gyet Maude, thanked the speaker for identifying with his people in their moment of grief.
He said, what happened was a message from God and that people should get closer to God.
