The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Simon Bako Lalong has said that he received with a grief stricken heart, the news of the demised of Distinguished Sen. General John Nanzip Shagaya (Rtd), which sad event occurred as a result of a fatal motor accident, on his way back from his home town in Langtang North Local Government on Sunday, the 11th of February, 2018.
Governor Lalong described the death of General Shagaya (Rtd) as a painful reality that the State will live to contend with; essentially that the vacuum it has created in the top Advisory echelon will rub the State and Nation of the wealth of his experience garnered over the years of his meritorious Professional Military, Public Service and Business career.
The Governor in this moment of deep grief surrounding the Shagaya’s family, the Taroh Nation and the many friends and Associates of the Late General, w extended his deepest condolences and assurances of prayers for God’s comforting grace, on behalf of his family, the Government and good people of Plateau State.
“May the soul of the Distinguished Senator, rest in perfect peace with the Lord Almighty,” he said.
