A journalist known as  Taye Elebiyo Edeni, reporting with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) has been seriously  brutalised by security operatives at the venue of the commissioning of Kaduna Dry Port on Thursday.
The lady who was officially assigned to cover the event came all the way from Abuja..
The unfortunate incident happened at the main venue of the commissioning of the dry port, Down Quarters, Kakuri, ahead of the arrival of President Muhammadu Buhari and his entourage.
The attack on journalists was heightened after the security denied them access to the main venue despite having their accredited tags.
Kaduna is known to be the most dangerous state to practice as journalists in recent times.
It would be recalled that late 2017, the Online Editor of New Nigerian Newspapers, Jacob Onjewu Dickson was assaulted by joint team of security operatives while covering the closing ceremony of the Kaduna International Polo Tournament.
Dickson, who is also the Assistant Secretary of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), was pounced upon be soldiers and policemen while trying to cover the presentation of trophies, in spite of introducing himself to them.
He was flogged with whips and batons, and only the Army authorities have so far officially apologized for the incident.
