The Governor of Ondo state, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN has been commended for his amnesty initiative, urging the Youths of Ilaje and Ese odo Local Governments of the state to shun violence and embrace peace.
A former Law Maker in the Ondo State House of Assembly,  Hon. Oyebo Aladetan who made the commendation and appeal during a chat with Journalists in Akure said the government of Arakurin Akeredolu SAN with his Deputy Arakurin Agboola Fred Ajayi should be commended and appreciated by all and sundry for the Amnesty programme which was provided for the youths when they least expected, noting that there could be no development where crisis  strive.
According to him, ” Ilaje Constituency 11 and Ese odo Constituency had represented us for 8 and 7 years respectively and it’s now the turn of Ilaje to present a viable, reliable, competent and eloquent representative like me to ventilate the grievances and aspirations of the people”.
His words, presently the position of the Deputy Governor as elective position occupied by Hon. Agboola Ajayi from Ese-odo is also germane and critical to give peace a chance.
In his own contribution, a legal luminary in Akure, capital of Ondo state, Barrister Manuwa Akinyele who also hails from Ilaje local government  urged the people of Ilaje and Ese Odo Federal constituency to vote for a better candidate that could represent them at the lower chamber by 2019.
With all the people that had represented the area in the past, Barr. Manuwa said the dividends of democracy which the area had experienced during the period Hon. Aladetan represented them in the state Assembly has no equal.
He recalled how Hon. Aladetan was able to empower many Youths to become small scale practitioners and employers of labour even as he used the opportunity he had as the Chairman, House Committee on Information and other positions he held in the House.
The legal luminary also lauded the spirit of Hon. Aladetan to identify with his people in the riverine areas as soon as he ceases to represent them in the State House of Assembly.
According to him, unlike others that had served in various capacities, he said no one has ever lived among the people in the riverine area where there is no electricity and pipe borne water.
Going by his contribution in job creation, Manuwa disclosed that non of his business establishments are outside Ilaje local government.
He therefore advised the people to ensure such an individual with human face to represent them at the National Assembly by 2019 general election.
He how ever cautioned the people to go for their permanent voters cards to afford  them the opportunity to vote for a better candidate of their choice.
