Words cannot be enough to express the joyful mood of the family of the Officer-in-charge of Legal/prosecution, Cross River State Police Command, Ofem O.  Mbang, penultimate Sunday as they went for a Thanksgiving service at the Christian Church of God, Parliamentary Extension, Calabar.
Delivering the sermon, Evangelist (Dr) S U Obeten, thanked God for leading Mbang for 35 years in service without soiling of record.
According to him,  “this was not made possible by man but it is by the love of God towards his people”.
Therefore, he said “we owe God alot of gratitude by seeking his face at all times”.
Said he “it is only when Christians all over the country begin to appreciate God as our Lord and Saviour that things will go well with the nation”.
Obeten said “the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom and it is those that fear God that he protects and leads till the end”.
He thanked God for seeing Mbang through his years in service and urged him to draw near to God for more grace.
Earlier,  Mbang said the Thanksgiving was to appreciate God for what he has done in his life and that of his family.
He said “my experience in 35 years in service was not an easy one. But today I have successfully retired on January 31,2018 to the glory of God from the Nigeria Police Force”.
He joined the force as a beat duty recruit constable and left as Officer In charge, Legal/Prosecution CRS Police Command, Calabar.
The occasion was graced friends and family members as well as UNICAL Law Class of 2010.
