Rochas College Foundation Zaria Admits 200 New Students

Rochas College Foundation Zaria has begun academic activities with 200 students.

Speaking to journalists who visited the college, the Principal Hajiya  Rabi’at Ibrahim said about 4,000 forms were released but 2,000 made it to the interview while 800 passed the interview out of which 200 met the requirements of getting admission.

Hajiya Rabi’at said only genuine orphans and less privileged children were considered  in the admission process.

The Principal explained that school uniforms, books and breakfast  are free.

According to her, by next year they will admit more students as planned by the foundation’s chairman.

She appealed to parents to allow only the real orphans to be enrolled as well as the less privileged ones to enjoy the gesture.

Also commenting, the coordinator of the college, Mr. Okpo Kenechukwu said all the admitted students will be on scholarship up to university level.

He called on the Kaduna State Government to support the school with transportation to ease students transportation difficulties.

During the visit,  reporters met students in their full uniforms with their books as well as some taking their breakfast.
