Roads users across Kano State have commended the Kano Roads Maintenance Agency, (KARMA) for repairing many important roads at both rural and urba areas in the state.
This was expressed in a series of interviews conducted by our correspondent, where motorists and other road users appealed to Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to give more support to the agency for more sevices as seen at present.
Malam Usman Umar, a taxi driver told New Nigerian that KARMA is gradually making commendable efforts in repairing important roads in Kano metropolis and other parts of the state with excellent performance, calling on the state government to give more funds to the agency in order to make more impact.
Similarly, Alhaji Isma’il Sani of Kurna Quarters said that KARMA must be commended for repairing an expressway at Kurna Babban Layi overhead bridge which usually caused traffic gridlock at Babban Layi, where he thanked the Managing Director of the agency, Engineer Idris Wada and his team for the repairs and rehabilitation of roads in Kano metropolitan and rural areas which is a good development.
In conclusion, the executive officers of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) described KARMA as the pillar of roads trasportation especially when the roads are in need of total repairs and rehabilitation as seen on ground.
