Rio 2016 Olympics: NOC partners Wakanow

As part of its efforts to ensure that Nigerians who want to travel to Brazil for the Rio 2016 Olympics do not encounter difficulties during the games proper,   the Nigeria Olympic  Committee recently signed a memorandum of understanding with  Wakanow, declaring the company the official authorized tickets reseller for the Games.
Disclosing this to the New Nigerian Sports onbehalf of the President of Nigeria Olympic Committee, Habu Gumel, the Secretary General, Tunde Popoola hinted that this is the second time in succession that the NOC will be appointing Wakanow as the official ticket reseller to the Olympic Games saying its decision to reappoint the organization was based on their track record and competence in the travels and hospitality industry.
He noted that with the coming on board of the company, Nigerians going to Rio for the Olympics are well assured of packages that will make their visit a most memorable one.
In his reaction, Managing Director of the company, Obinna Ekezie explained his company’s readiness to make Nigerians feel the impact of the games by making tickets as affordable as possible even as he ruled out the company engaging the services of chartered flights to take people to Rio.
According to him, plans have been concluded to surpasse on their past mistakes with a promise that the record they set during London 2012 Olympics will be sustained as well as sports loving Nigerians will be allowed to pay for a period of three months.
