The Management of New Nigerian Newspapers (NNN) have been told to  chart a means of solving its lingering predicament or return it to the Federal Government instead of waiting for the Northern Governors in vain who seem not concerned about the great legacy of Sir Ahmadu Bello.
Consequently, President Muhammadu Buhari and all patriotic people from the North are charged to aid and rescue the company from eventual total collapse.
A renown Islamic scholar and secretary General of Jama’atul Nasril Islam, Sheik Khalid Aliyu made the appeal in an exclusive interview with NNN in Jos.
According to him, “it is regrettable that one month after the anniversary of the founder, Sir Ahmadu Bello and official launching of its special edition, old problems still persist in the company”.
He challenged the management “to as a matter of urgency develop a workable solution that would solve its predicament rather than waiting for Northern Governors” whom he described as being overshadowed by their respective states problems.
Speaking on the assets of the company put in place by the founding father, the cleric said “current management should consider selling some to ameliorate the suffering of its staffers”.
The Islamic cleric advocated for the immediate return of the company to the Federal Government to correct the anomalies created by President Olusegun Obasajo’s government as military Head of State.
“It is sad that young men and women are today dying one after another owing to practical shortcoming of the so called Northern Governors” he stressed.
According to him, all regions of Nigeria have their own mouth piece but we failed to sustain a legacy established by our great founding father late Sir Ahmadu Bello saying that “it is a pity”.
