Remain Focused, Lamido Of Adamawa Urges Buhari

The Lamido of Adamawa Alhaji Muhammadu Barkindo, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari not to listen to the  call by some empty barrels Nigerian elites that he should not re- contest for 2019 Presidential election.
The Lamido gave the advice, when the presidenti  paid homage to him at his palace in Yola on Tuesday.
” I am calling you to remain focus, stand firm and don’t listen to the empty barrel s Nigerian elites who are calling you not to re-contest for 2019 Presidential election, they are burying their heads in shame  and telling people that your Government has done nothing” Barkindo said.
The Lamido noted that the elites had forgotten that Buhari introduced Treasury Single Account where Tens of Trillions of naira belonging to Nigerian people was saved.
He pointed out that the track record achievements of the President on economic development, security, and fight against corruption were everywhere across the country for everyone to see and feel.
Barkindo  appealed to the federal government to look into the Chochi water and rice irrigation project which he said was abandoned  for over 20 years .
While pledging the total loyalty and support of traditional institutions to the President, the Royal father also appealed to  the him to reconsider the upgrading of Moddibo Adama University of Technology Yola (MAUTECH) into full pledge conventional university with schools of management, Information Technology, Health among others.
Responding,  President Buhari  commended the level of economic and  agricultural development in the country in the past two years.
According to him, as the level of development in our economic and agric sector advance globally, farmers across the country also experienced excellent harvests.
He said that the Federal ministry of agriculture and Central Bank of Nigeria would continued to support famers in years to come for sufficient national food production and economic growth.
On the abandoned Chochi water and irrigation project  in Yola South local government area, he said that he was aware about it,  and no one should be blamed.
Buhari said that the All Progressive Congress (APC) lead administration at the federal level had fulfill major promises made to electorates during campaign.
He was optimistic about  achievement  made so far saying  that the  fight against corruption and maintaining peace and security were among the top priority of  his administration.
