Recession: Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi Urges Govt To Rejuvenate Economy

A renowned Islamic cleric, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi has called on the Federal and state governments to introduce policies that will rejuvenate the economy towards improving the well being of Nigerians.
He also appealed to the well to do in the society to extend supporting hands to the needy in view of the present economic difficulties facing the country and the World over.
The Cleric, on the occasion of this year’s Maulud celebration, while congratulating the people, called on Muslims to emulate Prophet Muhammad by obeying his commands and teachings in their daily affairs.
Prior to the annual procession by students of Islamic Schools in Bauchi, the state capital, the Islamic scholar led other scholars at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, in a preaching session as part of activities marking the event.
Meanwhile, the Academic Forum of Islamic Movement of Nigeria, IMN has congratulated Muslims on the occasion of commemorating the birthday of Prophet Muhammad.
Chairman of the Movement, Mallam S. I. Ahmad in a statement in Bauchi, called on Muslims in the state to use the period and seek the forgiveness of their shortcomings before Allah and improve their relationship with the rest of the people.
The statement also called on the Federal Government to honor the judgment of a Federal High Court by releasing Sheikh Ibrahim El Zazzaky and his wife who are still in detention.
