As the Muslim Ummah all over the world begin the Ramadan fast, Kaduna Central Senatorial Aspirant, Hon Usman Ibrahim has urged the faithful in Nigeria to observe Ramadan with tenets of best practices.
This was contained in a Ramadan message to the Muslims across the world personally signed by him and distributed to newsmen in Kaduna on Thursday.
While calling on the Muslim faithful, he said that this is a period to share love among Nigerians and pray for the unity of Nigeria.
“Ramadan period is a time for sober reflection that all Nigerians must come together to pray for the progress and unity of our dear country.
“This is a time that we must do all things with moderation and help the sick, the poor in our prayers and also through charity.
“As one of the pillars of Islam, Ramadan is also a time of deep consecration to spiritual matters. It is therefore a time of spiritual awakening and commitment to the tenets of Islam.
“I urge you to use this period to pray for peace, unity, security, socio-economic development and political stability of the country.
“As we celebrate this great festival of the religion of peace, may the peace and comfort of Allah SWT rest upon us, our family, community, state and nation”, he concluded.
