Private Security Practitioners Ready For Free, Fair, Credible, Peaceful Governorship Election -VP

The Vice president, Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria, ALPSPN, Mrs Emilia F. Csaszar, has assured that private security guards are truly committed towards ensuring a peaceful governorship and House of Assembly elections in the country.

Speaking to New Nigerian in Kaduna, she said, “Private security practitioners are the larger employer of labour in the country that are spread in all the 774 local government areas.”

She added that they are well on ground to ensure free, fair, credible and peaceful governorship and House of Assembly election in all the 36 states of the federation.

She explained that during the presidential and National Assembly elections, there were lost of lives due to security challenges in the country, pointing out that steps are being taken by the private security practitioners to ensure effective service delivery in governorship election to curb any breakdown of election violent that could lead to lost of lives.

“We have gone on the sensitization of our security personnel during the governorship election to ensure effective communication of any election violent that could lead to any lost of life,” she explained.

She noted that there is the need for proper enlightenment of the populace on the need for peaceful conduct of all Nigerians before, during and after the elections.

She lamented that the present economic challenges confronting the country has been an impediment to the progress of the private security companies, noting that they were being owed by their clients due to lack of conducive economic environment for business activities to strive.

Due to the inability of their clients to pay the private security at the appropriate time, she stressed the need for private  security companies to diversify their mode of operations to be able to be alive with the present economic hardship.

The Vice president who is also the Managing Director of Marshal Star Security services, Kaduna, commended Kaduna state government for patronaging the indigenous private security companies in the state, adding that it has increased the engagement of youth thereby reducing their idleness.

Marshal Star Security service, she said, is one of the famous private security company in the country with about 15 years experience with about 4,000 guards in the state.

She explained that Marshal Star Security service would soon obtain the International Standard Certification which will enable the company to operate anywhere inline with international best practice.
