Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) has announced a new date for its planned second edition of President Muhammadu Buhari U-18 Peace Cup for boys.
The competition originally scheduled for the second quarter of the year will now hold from October 19-27, 2018 in Katsina, the Katsina State capital.
According to a statement by the Federation signed by its National Secretary, Patrick Okpavuerhe, participating teams made up of 20 players and three officials are expected to arrive Katsina on Friday 19th October, 2018 with an advise to teams to keep to the rules as earlier spelt out to them.
The Federation while advising teams to avoid night travels for their safety reminded them of the need to pay their affiliation fees to the body’s UBA account number as cash payment will not be acceptable.
Meanwhile, the earlier YSFON National U-15boys soccer tournament and U-15 Boys Athletics Championship slated for October 20th-27th in Bauchi State has been postponed due to some logistics reasons.
“As a new date is expected to be communicated to its state chapters soon, ” explained the scribe.
