Police Yet To Confirm Number Of Casualties From Calabar Viewing Centre Electrocution

The Cross River State Police Public Relations Officer, Irene Ugbo, has confirmed that football fans were electrocuted at a viewing centre in Calabar, the state capital.
Reports said that over 30 people were  dead on Thursday night at a football viewing centre after being electrocuted by a high tension cable that fell on them, at Atimbo axis of Edimotop area, but the Police said the number of casualties would be ascertained on Friday.
New Nigerian Sports  reports that the football fans were at the centre to watch a UEFA Europa League quarter-final match between Manchester United and Anderlecht.
