A little infant boy of about four months old was last Sunday found abandoned at the Niger State Secretariat Complex by unknown person(s).
A search is already on in Minna and its environs for the parents of the abandoned infant baby boy who was strategically abandoned.
The baby was discovered kept at the Secretariat complex in the early hours of Sunday morning by a man who raised alarm and alerted others nearby.
The attention of the state’s Child Right Agency was promptly called to the development even as the development attracted several people who milled around the site of the abandoned baby.
Director General of the Agency, Barrister Zaynab Kolo upon receipt of the information, had directed further confirmation on the development as she detailed one of her officers to the scene.
The abandoned baby was first rearranged, then taken to the Tudun Wada Divisional Police Office where the officials of the Agency lodged an official report after which the baby was taken to the Minna General Hospital for medical attention.
The Child’s Rights Agency along with the Police have since then mounted search for a possible lead to fish out the parents of the abandoned baby boy.
The Director General of the Agency confirmed the sad development just as she condemned the culprits behind the wicked, ungodly and dehumanizing act.
The culprit(s) must have cashed in on the day being a workfree day (Sunday to sneak into the Secretariat to abandon the innocent boy.
The Child Rights Agency in the state has been in the forefront fighting for the rights and respect for children’s rights and development.
The Agency has waged war against paedophiles, buggers and rapists and got several convictions from its prosecution in law courts around the state.
