Police Intercept 30 Cartons Of Tramadol, Nab 2 Suspects

Efforts of the Police to rid the society of illicit drugs received a boost in Lagos, as a truck load containing 30 cartons of Tramadol capsules has been intercepted by the command.
Two suspects were also said to have been arrested in connection with the proscribed drugs.
The drugs, which are 100mg capsules each, according to report were clinically concealed under the spare part of some vehicles contained in the truck.
Our correspondent reliably learnt that the illegal consigment were detected by eagle eyed operatives attached to Trade Fair Division while on a stop and search operation along Lagos- Badagry Expressway.
The Commissioner of Police Lagos Command. Edgal Imohimi confirmed the report in a release made available to journalists at the command headquarter.
 Edgal disclosed that the drugs were loaded in a Scania 220 truck with registration No FST 45 OD and neatly concealed under motor spare parts.
He identified the arrested suspects as one Igwe Ejike of No. 2 Green Land street Olorunsogo Badagry and Stephen Osita, diver and conductor of the truck respectively.
The police commissioner reiterated that the command will not rest on its oars until the streets are rid of hard drugs, while stressing that the children must be saved from the effects of  illicit drugs.
He assured that the suspects will definitely be prosecuted in court of competent jurisdiction.
His words, ” On the 29/6/2018 at about 07.30hrs, a team of policemen attached to Trade-fair Division, while on a stop and search operation, intercepted a Scania 220 truck with Reg. No FST 45 OD loaded with ( 30) cartons of Tramadol 100mg capsules neatly concealed under motor spare parts.
