Police Community Relations MovesTo Root Out Banditry In Zamfara State

The Police Community Relation Committee (PCRC) Zamfara State has reiterated its commitments to assist and support the Police and other security agencies to fight and root out armed banditry, cattle rustling and crime in the state.

This assurance was given by the new Chairman of PCRC in Zamfara State, Alhaji Bello Dankande Gamji at the inauguration of the new exco at the Police Headquarters in Gusau.

Gamji who is the state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs said the PCRC under his leadership will not rest on its efforts at ensuring that all forms of criminality is chase out of the state.

“We will be providing the Police and other security agencies with vital  information and logistics to enable them effectively discharge their responsibilities in arresting crimes, ” he said.

Earlier, the state commissioner of Police, Mr Kenneth Ebrimson while inaugurating the new PCRC executive, charged them to continue to work to ensure that the state is devoid of crimes.

PCRC National President, Alhaji Faruq Abdullahi Maiyama urged the members of the committee to remain steadfast in the resolve to make the society crime free.

Governor Abdul’Aziz  Yari Abubakar represented by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Sanusi Garba Rikiji said security is a collective responsibility and therefore the need for every hand to be on deck in the drive to make the state crime free.

Yari said the state government will continue to create enabling environment and provide all needed support to security agencies to make the state one of the best state one of the safest in the county.
