Police Boss Raises Concerns Over Cases of Cultism, Murder, Others

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos  State Command, Muazu Zubairu has expressed great concern over cases of cultism, traffic robbery, youth gangsterism and murder in the state.
He however assured of the command’s renewed vigour and determination to tackle the security challenges.
Zubairu, while reeling out the achievement of the command said 159 suspects were arrested for armed robbery, kidnapping and cultism in the last four months.
He added that 43 arms and 84 ammunition we’re recovered within the same period.
In addition, the police commissioner said the command  foiled 80 armed robbery attempts due to prompt response to distress calls.
Speaking further Zubairu said 14 case I of suicide and attempted suicide were recorded under the period in review.
With the launching of operation ” Puff Adder” in the state, he emphasized that tough time indeed awaits those who choose the path of crime in the state.
” Lagosians have a right to a more peaceful and orderly state and with the support of the good people of Lagos State, we will rid the state of criminal elements”, the police commissioner assured.
