As the day-two of the Partnership to Engage, Reform and Learn (PERL) Agenda for Second Quarter Participatory Political Economy Analysis and Reform Engagement resumed on Tuesday, a call for the convening of a public policy dialogue on agriculture has been made.
The call was made in a group presentation, stressing that if done, would address the challenges of agriculture in Kaduna State.
The group represented by Mr. Yusuf Goje, stressed that that already, they have recorded success by ensuring they got commitment to create a platform for engagement and also participate in budget processes of agriculture with the ministry.
“CSOs helped government in aggregating farmers and due to that, there has been linkage to getting inputs for some of the farmers,” they added.
They noted that accessing information and funding remain huge challenges facing the agricultural sector in Kaduna State.
