The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) @ At Your Door Campaign Forum on Thursday in Kaduna, led thousands of decampees to pitch their tents with the former ruling party.
This is contained in a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP @ Your Door Campaign Forum, Jacob Onjewu Dickson, made available to media on Thursday night.
It explained that the event which attracted the Kaduna State Secretary Kaduna PDP, Honourable Ibrahim Wusono, who represented the state chairman, Gonourable Hassan Hyat, as well as other chieftains, took place at Afaka Ward in Igabi Local Government Area.
Speaking at the event, that saw over 3500 decampees swell the ranks of PDP, Honourable Wusono said that the party will not discriminate between new and old members of the party.
“PDP is the only national party that is made up of all nationalities, religions and creeds. We are the true peoples Party and welcome all to join us. We will treat all equally be it new entrants, just as we remain committed to welfare of our old n members,” he said.
Speaking further, he said that all new members are equally welcome to contest for elective positions under its platform.
Also speaking at the decamping ceremonies, National Coordinator of PDP at Your Door Campaign Forum (PDPYDCF), Comrade Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani said that the decamping was the first of a series.
“The Giant Party In Africa PDP in Afaka ward Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna State has witnessed the first in a series of decampings to our great party, which will be replicated in all the wards across the 774 local government areas across the country,” he said.
He charged the new decampees to promote the Ideals of PDP anywhere they are and also said that PDP is the only party that can lead Nigeria.
