In a feel of what is to come, the main opposition, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) trounced the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the testing of the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) by the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KadSIECOM) in Kudan Local Government Area of the state.
According to results made available by the PDP agent for the test election,  Umar Suleiman Hassan (Shattiman Kauran Wali), on Day 1 on Wednesday February 14, 2018, at Kauran Wali North Ward, for the chairmanship, PDP polled 193, APC 32, PRP 1 and FP 1.
For Councillor, PDP 193, APC 32, PRP 1 and FP 1.
Hassan said that on Day 2, Thursday February 15, 2018 at Kauran Wali North Ward, his party’s votes increased.
“Chairman: PDP 220, APC 12, Others 0.
“Councillor: PDP 220,  APC 12, Others 0,” he informed.
As at time of filing this report, it was yet to be confirmed by the KadSIECOM.
If it turns out to be true, then it shows that Kaduna electorate may be warming up to shock the ruling APC by casting protest votes to the PDP, which seems to be reclaiming back massive support at the grassroots.
