Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Friday appointed Mrs. Hannah Ogunesan, as the new Head of Service (HoS) for Oyo State.
According to a statement by the Secretary to the Oyo state Government (SSG) Alhaji Olalekan Alli made available to newsmen in Ibadan on Friday, the new Head of Service appointment takes effect from Thursday, February 8, 2018.
The SSG in the statement declared that the appointment of the new HoS was as a result of the retirement of the state’s former HoS Mr Soji Eniade from the state’s civil service.
Also, the statement announced the appointment of the outgoing HoS as the Executive Assistant, Administration to the governor “in view of his sterling performance” during his tenure as the number one civil servant and that his appointment also takes effect from Thursday, February 8, 2018.
The new Head of Service, Mrs Hannah Ogunesan joined the public service of the state on April 1, 1989, has served in various capacities before her current appointment as permanent secretary in the state’s ministry of local government and chieftaincy matters, on July 1, 2015.
The new HoS is an alumnus of the London School of Economics’ Executive Summer School, where she completed an approved programme on Strategic Decisions in Management.
She holds a Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Business Administration from Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye) and the University of Ado-Ekiti (now Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti), respectively.
The new Exective Assistant Administration , Mr Soji Eniade on his part becomes the second Executive Assistant to the governor, who had earlier appointed a two-time commissioner in the state’s education and agriculture ministries, Dr. Moronkola Thomas, in a similar capacity in March, 2017.
“Mr. Eniade has meritoriously and brilliantly served the state in various capacities prior to his appointment as HOS in August 2014.In view of his sterling performance as HOS, His Excellency, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has equally approved his appointment as Executive Assistant (Administration) to the governor, in the Governor’s Office.”
