The Commissioner of Police Kaduna State Command, CP A. Abdurrahman has warned that anyone found wandering around without his or her permanent voters card (PVCs) during the time slated for the gubernatorial and state assembly polls on Saturday March 9 will be apprehended.
He gave the warning while speaking during a press briefing organised by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Kaduna State ahead of the polls.
“What is expected for a voter is that he must carry his PVC it us the visa. When we find someone without PVC, we will pick him and keep him in safe place till after the election.
“Only those on essential services can move around like journalist, health workers, fire fighter and policemen. Even policemen without a tag of election 2019 if seen will be held,” he added.
“If we see some uniformed personnel moving around because their relative is contesting, we will arrest them,” he stressed.
