Former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore on Thursday declared that only the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) government can eradicate the current prevailing sufferings on the people of Osun State.
Senator Omisore said this in Osogbo while distributing thousands of bags of rice to PDP members from across Osun state
held at the state party Secretariat, Ogo Oluwa area .
The PDP Chieftain hinted that his gesture is in line with the welfarist programme of the party adding that pensioners in the state, unpaid civil servants and other unprivileged citizens too would soon benefit from the gesture.
Emphasizing that the distribution of rice to PDP members from across Osun state was to further strengthen the unity already started in the Party and that ” the rice distribution is meant for all PDP members in Osun and not for any faction “.
The former deputy governor then urged PDP members in and across Osun state to be more committed to working for the party and remain focussed “to rescue the State from the shackles of APC-led government of hunger.”
Speaking further, Senator Omisore expressed optimism that the prolonged factional crisis rocking the party in Osun state will be completely resolved in January 2018 with the conclusion of Local and State Congresses.
Senator Omisore added that the unification of the Party “is sure, hence that the Christmas gifts be distributed to all PDP members across every nook and cranny of each ward in Osun state”.
Honourable Tunde Solomon Oyetunde while speaking for the beneficiaries especially those formerly belonging to the Adagunodo faction of the party expressed the determination of Osun PDP members to support Otunba Omisore in his endeavours to salvage the people from the sinking ship of APC government in Osun state, without any further confusion, lies and propaganda.
