The Ondo State Police Command on Tuesday paraded a Masquerade, identified as Oluwagbenga Olowookere residence of Odo Isa, Oke Aro, Akure who was accused of killing a 20 year old Lady, Miss Ajila Oluwaseun Motunrayo in Akure, the Ondo state capital.
Others paraded along with the Masquerade were Adejumola Ebenezer, the boy friend of the deceased and Adaramola Ajiloko while the Police image maker, Mr. Femi Joseph who addressed Journalists at the Police Headquarters assured that others at large will soon be brought to book.
Oluwagbenga Olowookere disclosed how one Sunday Adaramola and his friend, Deji Dada now at large went on illegal outing of Masquerade dancing ceremony shortly after the group had retarded for the day in their usual manner calling it off for the day.
The leader of the Masquerade group, Adaramola Ajiloko claimed ignorance of the illegal expenditure which the two friends later embarked upon after the group’s successful outing to mark this year’s Masquerade dance.
According to the PPRO, it was the mother of the deceased, Mrs. Ajila who drew the attention of her neighbourhood to the gruesome murder of her daughter, Ajila Oluwaseun who she met in the pool of her blood at their residence on the fateful day.
It was reported that Mrs. Ajila mounted her suspicion on Adejuwon Ebenezer her daughter’s boyfriend going by his calls in the early hours when he was said to be demanding for the whereabout of Ajila Motunrayo.
The Police spokes man assured that the Command will leave no stone unturned as soon as work is completed in other variables having arrested the former boyfriend of the deceased.
Meanwhile, Mr. Femi Joseph has warned those that specialise in trading with the nation’s currency at ceremonies saying any one caught “bastardising the nation’s image with the sales of her currency” will be dealt with according to the law of the land.
