Ondo APC Crisis Blamed On Past Leaders

The Acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ondo State has blamed the crisis and other anti-party activities that characterised the party’s primary election in the state on past leaders.

Addressing the teaming members of other political parties that decamp to APC in Akure on Thursday, Adetimehin described the former leadership of the party in the state as clueless, irresponsible and unpatriotic.
According to him, the situation could not had degenerated into such an absurdity if not for God and the unalloyed commitment of well meaning individuals and the good people of the state.
He how ever commended the efforts of National leaders for building bridges and filling gaps to have a strong, virile and united party that could meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
He urged the decampees to go and register formerly in their various units and wards, adding that “what we are doing here today is mere political jamboree”.
Earlier in his speech, the leader of the decampees, who is also a Governorship candidate in the last election, Chief Olusola Oke SAN, commended the Governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu SAN for demonstrating the good gesture to welcome himself and others to the party.
Chief Oke declared that they are all back to reload APC in preparation for the unification rally expected on February 24, 2018.
He called on his co travellers to coordinate all the activities of government without any distraction saying, ” we are back to APC to put at the disposal of my brother and friend all ideas that could make your administration succeed.
In his welcome address, Chief Akeredolu, while declaring his resolve to let bye gone be bye gone, he assured the people that there are rooms for all within the party.
His words, “there could be misunderstandings, we must allow every thing to be over, no one begs any one to come, but who ever decides to return shall be welcomed”.
Other Governorship candidates that staged a re Union with APC were Madam Olamide Falana of Democratic People’s Party and Mrs. Temilola Olagbegi from PPN.
