Omisore Lauds Ooni Ogunwusi’s Roles In Dowsing Hausa/Yoruba Clash In Ife

As peace is gradually returning to Ifeland after the bloody clash between the Hausa and Yoruba people, a former deputy governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore on Saturday lauded the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi over his fatherly roles in dowsing the clash in his domain.
Senator Omisore who made the commendation in a statement by his media office made available to journalists, declared that Ooni Ogunwusi with his prompt intervention has again demonstrated his love for peace, unity and oneness among Nigerians.
He maintained that without mincing a word, it was glaring that the timely intervention of Ooni Ogunwusi prevented the clash from going out of control adding that the peace moves by Ooni Ogunwusi should be lauded by all and sundry .
“There is no alternative to peace; we must collectively live in atmosphere of peace for mutual prosperity which has been the long standing practice among our people. I sympathise with everyone affected by the crisis and begged those involved to embrace one another by being your brother’s keeper,”he said.
The former deputy emphasized the need for all and sundry in Ifeland and beyond to join hands with Ooni Ogunwusi, the Osun state government and the security agencies in sustaining the total peace returning to Ifeland,
“I am commending Kabiyesi,the Ooni,Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi for the fatherly roles he played in ensuring that the situation does not escalate. He has done a commendable job and therefore we should all salute him for that good job”he said
Senator Iyiola Omisore then reiterated his call for the need for Nigerians irrespective of their tribes to continue to be living in peace and harmony,
“We should learn to live in peace and harmony with our neighbours in Ife. There is a lot to gain in living in peace and love rather than in disharmony”.
