Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha on Wednesday carried out a minor cabinet reshuffle dropping the appointees who had indicated intention to run for any political position in the coming election.
An official statement from the office of the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor indicated that Governor Okorocha relieved them of their appointments and wished them well in their future endeavors.
According to the statement , the dropped appointees who are 13 in number include the Governor’s son in- law Mr Uche Nwosu who was the Chief of Staff Government House Owerri.
However, Governor Okorocha against the wish of the people of the state had insisted on imposing Mr Uche Nwosu on the people as Governor come 2019.
This personal desire of Governor Okorocha has in the recent times generated unpleasant controversy in the state which has led to the high criticisms of the Governor himself.
Some front line politicians in the state in order to make sure that the Governor’s plan does not succeed ganged up in coalition to checkmate it.
