Ogun Police Arrest 38-yr Old Man For Defiling 6-yr Old Girl

Police operatives attached to Ogun State Police Command  have apprehended a 38 yearsold man for allegedly defiling a 6 years old girl.
The suspect identified as Abiodun Ojo, aged 38 years, was said to have been arrested at Magbara village via Idiroko on Sunday October 20th 2018 where the incident occurred.
According to report, the suspect who resides in the same house with the parent of the victim, lured the girl into a bush path under the pretence of wanted to send her on errand.
He was alleged to have forcefully had carnal knowledge of her in the bush.
Our correspondent gathered that the shouting and crying of the girl attracted the attention of local vigilante, who rushed to the scene and  rescued the girl.
As further learnt, angry mob had severely beaten the suspect before the  arrival of the DPO Idiroko Division CSP Aloko Amodu who led his men to the scene following a distress call  and promptly arrested him.
The command’s public relations officer Abimbola Oyeyemi while confirming the report said  both the suspect and the victim were taken to the hospital for medical attention.
 
Oyeyemi disclosed the Commissioner of Police  Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to Anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the State criminal investigation and intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution of the suspect.
His words, ” The suspect who was arrested at Magbara Village via Idiroko on Sunday 21/10/2018 happened to be living in the same house with the parent of the victim and lured the girl into a bush path under the pretence of wanted to send her on errand consequence upon which he forcefully had carnal knowledge of her in the bush.
It was the shouting and crying of the girl that attracted the attention of the local vigilante who rescued the girl and placed a distress call to Police at Idiroko division.
The DPO Idiroko Csp Aloko Amodu quickly led his men to the scene at Magbara Village and promptly arrested the suspect who has been severely beaten by angry mob.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police Cp Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to Anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the State criminal investigation and intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution of the suspect”.
