The National Universities Commission (NUC) as a body, has the statutory mandate for accrediting academic programs in all Nigerian Universities, on the 6th of November, 2018 gave full accreditation to the courses run by Federal College of Education (Technical) Bichi which are B.Tech Electrical Electronics Technology Education; B. Tech Metal Work Technology Education and B. Tech Building Technology Education.
In addition, five more courses which include B.Sc (Ed) Agricultural Science; B.Sc (Ed) Integrated Science; B. Sc (Ed) Mathematics; B.Sc (Ed.), Biology; and B.Sc,(Ed.) Chemistry, were also approved for the College by NUC.
The five additional courses are to commence immediately in the 2018/2019 academic session. The approval came after a resource visit by panels of experts on the proposed academic programs.
The College presently offers eight courses at degree level in affiliation with ATBU Bauchi.
The success of the directorate of Degree Program is one of the laudable achievements of the Provost of the College Professor Bashir Muhammad Fagge.
The Provost commended the efforts of the Director, Directorate of Degree programmes, Dr Bashir Sabo Abubakar and his staff; the College Management and the College Accreditation and resource Visitation committees.
