NSCDC Retrains NAYES / VGN On Intelligence Gathering, Utility Protection

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has embarked on retraining of  members of the Nasarawa State Youth Empowerment  Corps (NAYES)  and the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) to enable them  synergise with  other security agencies by ensuring they are well equipped with the needed skills to apprehend  and hand over criminals and well as provide security  to public utilities .

This was made known by the Deputy Commandant Training Mr. Jame Akpoo  as he  supervised the training of the 1st batch at the  Lafia Township Stadium , where he made it known that the training would be carried out by the NSCDC to enhance the services of NAYES and VGN

The Deputy Commandant disclosed that the NSCDC decided to support the state Government with training  as its own way of contributing to the State Government and appreciating the state government for its efforts towards  to the NSCDC .

The training would be for 3000 NAYES and 700 VGN in the State , who would have lectures and physical training after which they would be issued certificates.

Also speaking at the trading the NAYES Coordinator Abdullahi Labaran said the training was highly appreciated as it would instil a new level of professionalism in the NAYES members and make them even more useful to the public especially  on the area of providing security to public utilities, and enable them get first-hand knowledge on intelligence gathering which would be very useful to security agencies.

The NAYES Coordinator  made it known that they were currently vetting the  returned forms for the next batch of NAYES trainees , and would soon carry out biometric registration in preparation to take them to camp for training.
