The Chairman Alheri Radio/DITV Dr. Hakeem Baba Ahmed has disagreed with the notion that northern leaders have failed the region in providing job opportunity for youth.
Baba Ahmed stated this at the 3rd year anniversary celebration of the media outfit in Zaria, held at Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar Hall at Barewa College Zaria.
He cited an example of himself that he started operating his media outfit with only five staff and presently the number is tripling daily.
Dr. Hakeem promised to improve the operation of the stations with educative and enlightenment programmes that will benefit their listeners
The chairman who is the Chief of Staff to the Senate President asked for the forgiveness from anybody he may have offended directly or indirectly through his media.
On the performance of staff, Dr.Hakeem said they have done excellently well in uplifting the stations at Kaduna and Zaria respectively, and urged them to maintain same.
He thanked individuals and corporate organizations for their patronage and advised on how to improve their operations.
Earlier in his welcome address, the General Manager Alheri/DITV Radio Zaria, Mahmud Abdullahi Barwa said the station has maintained its mission and vision with professional approach.
Barwa said the station has never failed to transmit unless otherwise in that past three years of exsistance.
He assured the teaming listeners of Alheri Radio of more qualitative programmes that will address issues affecting people directly.
Individuals, corporate organizations and staff of Alheri/ DITV were honoured with certificates of appreciation and service delivery respectively.
