After grabbing the maximum points against Stationery Stores of Lagos in the match Day 2 of the Nigeria National League, technical adviser of Remo Stars, Fatai Osho says their next target is to beat Delta Force when they host them this week in Sagamu.
Remo Stars last Saturday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos recorded a 2-0 defeat over Stores and Osho believes that picking the maximum points on the road is an indication that the club is poised to return to the elite league where they rightly belong.
“I’m very happy that we got the maximum points away to Stores and I want to assure our fans that we are ready to take other clubs to the cleaners as the league progresses’. he assured.
On what gave them victory over hard fighting stores, he stated that although the home side gave a good account of themselves but our resilience, hard work and good football control gave us victory.
” Stationery Stores gave a good account of themselves because they are a good side but before coming to Lagos, I never doubted our ability to beat them before their home fans because during our pre- season. we met them in our ground and the game ended 2-2 .It in that game I noted their areas of strength and week points which we capitalised on to get victory’, he explained.
Osho noted that having beaten Stores, their next target is to grab another maximum point in their first home game of the season against Delta Force.
“Having gotten this victory on the road. we’re going back to concentrate on our training as we set to host Delta Force in our first home match of the season.
“We’re aware that our next opponents are a formidable side but our target is to beat them at home and gradually set the stage for bouncing back to the NPL at the end of the season”. he concluded.
