Nimrod Bags ABU Icon Of Humanitarian Award

Barely two months after bagging the Garkuwan Matasa Arewa Award,  the President Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Engineer Musa Nimrod was on Thursday bestowed with the award of Icon of Humanitarian Service by the Ahmadu Bello University Students Represented Council (ABUSRC).
Presenting the award at the conference room of the Kaduna State Ministry of Youths, Sports and Culture, the Senate President of the ABUSRC, Comrade Abdulmumuni Jibo described Engineer Nimrod as a man of intellectual distinction, personal industry, integrity and honesty with professional display of philanthropic excellence in then engineering and sports field.
In his words: “great people make things possible while exceptional people makes things inevitable, sir the commitment you have shown towards national development is second to none and it is one of the factors among several others that merited you this award.
“As a navigator of development, the recognition of your outstanding imprint on the sand of time will remain forever, we see you as a globally thought Engineer who thinks globally and locally inspiring and a committed mentor of our time.
“On behalf of the over 52,000 students of ABU Zaria, I hereby pronounce the prime of our generation for this award as you deserve a decent mention and attendant space In the Sir Ahmadu Bello Sadauna Hall of Fame as Icon of Humanitarian Service”.
Responding, Engineer Nimrod commended the student body for recognizing him for the award and assured of improving on whatever service that warranted the award.
Earlier, the commissioner of the ministry, Daniel Danauta represented by the Director of Administration and Finance, applauded the student body for awarding a man that truly deserves it.
He described Engineer Nimrod as a man who has committee so much to sports and human development.
