Nigeria ‘ll soon return to its economic greatness – TMC

Deputy National President of The Muslim Congress (TMC) Ustaz Isma’eel Adekunle Busayri on Sunday declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) – led administration was on the path of restoring Nigeria’s lost glory.
Ustaz Busayri who stated this while delivering the 2016 post Ramadan lecture tagged: “Change Phenomenon: The Islamic Perspective” in Ibadan, said Nigeria would soon return to economic greatness.
According to him, secularism, modernism and corruption were responsible for the present decadence in the country, adding that the on going war against corruption in Nigeria was aimed at changing and transforming the society for the better.
He stressed the need for President Muhammadu Buhari led government to give room for rule of law, transparency, accountability, security and responsive as part of good governance, adding  that all government activities must be carried our in accordance with the law of the land.
Commending government for being responsive and transparent in all its activities in the past one year, he assured Nigerians that the country would soon return to economic greatness.
Speaking further, Ustaz Busayri asked Federal government to tackle the increasing rate of poverty among Nigerians by fashioning out necessary measures towards improving the living standard of Nigerians.
He declared that it was unfortunate that with the availability of many resources in Nigeria, majority of the people in the country are unable to afford three square meals per day, saying, there is no country in the world that God blessed like Nigeria, yet her people still in abject poverty.
Lamenting that no effort was made by past Nigerian leaders to save and invest for the future against the raining days when the country was making huge money from petroleum, he said “rather than investing, our leaders were busy accumulating wealth for themselves, the families and the unborn children at the detriment of the country and her people.”
TMC coordinator in Oyo State, Ustaz Salaudeen Ayubi in his remark declared that the annual event was to keep members abreast of the happenings in the country.
