Niger Police Deploys 1,350 Personnel For Easter

Security would be beefed up by a 1,350 armed Police personnel in churches and other worship places in Niger State during this year’s Easter celebrations by Christian faithful to mark the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Niger state Police Command said it’s men are poised to ensure adequate security to the worshippers during and after the Easter.

A terse statement from the state Police Command said security would be beefed up in and around the state to guarantee safety to lives and property.

This year’s Easter celebration begins on Thursday as Christian faithful across the country join their pears across the world to mark the celebrations beginning with the symbolic triumphant entry into Jerusalem, the death and cruxification of Jesus Christ on Friday, his resurrection from death which climaxed on the Easter Sunday, the commemorative three days after Jesus Christ was killed, crucified and buried and he arose from death.
