In order to provide qualitative education to the children of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), in Southern Kaduna following the killings that took place in the area, a Non-Governmental organization, Mission Africa International, has built a block of four classrooms
The international Director, Dr. Shayo Ajiboye, who disclosed this shortly after a Sunday service at the Governors Assembly Church in Kafanchan, said, “Quality and qualified teachers have been engaged by this noble organization to provide modern quality primary education for the pupils free.
“The school built in Missisi Community will benefit no fewer than five hundred pupils in IDP camps cut across the four communities around the town.”
He lamented that, “When their organisation visited the communities, the first thing that struck them was about five hundred children are out of school, we were touched, we promised to within one month those children will be in school which will involve putting up a structure.
“We were very focused with this perspective which were able to put up the four classrooms and we also recruited teachers that will give them sound education.”
According to him, “Plans are also on-going by the organization to also build a school for the Fulani community, so as to give them equal opportunity to acquire western education.
“We want to give the Southern Kaduna Children a global opportunity no lesser than any child anywhere in the world. We want them to have equal opportunity that a child in Singapore has.”
